Departing From Flock To Fedora 2023 - Part VI

With a bountiful meal for lunch and a recent thriller movie for entertainment, I had some respite after having rushed through the terminal to the departure gate. On landing in Kolkata, I shared a selfie with Sumantro Mukherjee on the Flock To Fedora chat before going in separate ways to our homes.

A satisfactory homelike meal was provided by Vistara Airlines on the flight for lunch with additional brownie points for the salad and desserts

After barely making it onto the flight, I noticed that everyone was already seated in their places, and I was the last one to enter through the gate. There were three more passengers for whom the announcements were made, but the flight did not wait anymore because it was already late. I placed my luggage on the racks and settled on my seat while the flight was gearing up to taxi to the runway. Once the flight took off, I was given a menu card that showed the choices available for meals choices available for lunch - from which, I opted to have Chicken in Thai Red Curry served with Steamed Rice. As this flight did not have a dedicated in-flight entertainment system, I had to rely on my smartphone media to entertain myself while I waited for the food to be served.

The flight was slowly decreasing its altitude while it drifted close to Dum Dum and looking outside the windows gave me a familiar feeling

Breathing a sigh of relief after the frenzied rush of sprinting through the terminal, I began watching Sympathy For The Devil (2023) which I had previously saved offline on my phone. The meals soon came accompanied by some warm milk tea and it was fun watching the movie while having the food. After roughly two hours having finished the meal, the flight landed at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport (CCU) at around 0430 pm Indian Standard Time. With a last selfie clicked with Sumantro Mukherjee shared over on the Flock To Fedora chat channel, we collected our luggage from the conveyor belt. Sumantro was picked up by his fiancee, Saheli Das from the airport while I headed back home in a cab, thus culminating the arduous journey.
